We are moving on to a new Help Center on zendesk.com for better interactions with our customers worldwide this year 2019. We used to provide an on-site technical service only. However, this year, we also provide a membership-based on-line service for a faster support.

What kind of service can we provide? We do have experts on DevOps and Clouds in our service team to answer your questions about “almost” any open source DevOps tools. We provide trainings and installation help as well, including troubleshooting and consulting.

You don’t need to have top open source engineers or DevOps experts in your company. We support your existing engineers to make your IT more secure, developers more agile to save more money on the software. Let’s start from three major topics as follows that we are good at in the pass few years, and also more services we will provide in the future.

Security

  • We will show you how to protect your servers step by step.
  • We recommend you to use OSSEC as a HIDS for your production servers. That is the minimum monitoring tool you need to add for servers and notify you any possible intrusion attempt with almost no cost.
  • “OSSEC (Open Source HIDS SECurity) is a free, open-source host-based intrusion detection system (HIDS). It performs log analysis, integrity checking, Windows registry monitoring, rootkit detection, time-based alerting, and active response. It provides intrusion detection for most operating systems, including Linux, OpenBSD, FreeBSD, OS X, Solaris and Windows. ” — quoted from wikipedia.
  • We also provide just-in-time Security Notices and introduce more security packages to protect the whole IT infrastructure.

Clouds

  • We have AWS, Google Clouds Platform, and Azure experts to show you how to move your apps from private servers to clouds easily and safely.
  • We support many popular ways of deployment for the clouds, including docker-compose, docker-swarm, or even kubernetes.
  • “Kubernetes (commonly stylized as k8s) is an open-source container-orchestration system for automating deployment, scaling and management of containerized applications. It was originally designed by Google and is now maintained by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. It aims to provide a “platform for automating deployment, scaling, and operations of application containers across clusters of hosts”.” — quoted from wikipedia.
  • For sure, we all need to use dockers (or containers) to deploy our services for automation and scaling issues. Kubernetes could be the best solution.

Open Source Software

  • There are many cheaper and mature solutions for Operation System, database, VM, CRM, ticketing system with Open Source. But you need a better support for your engineers to use these solutions properly and not troublesome. We also provide almost any Linux and/or open source packages’ installation and operation as a second-line online help with a monthly membership cost.
  • Almost all major clouds servers use Linux. It’s secure, powerful, and mature now. We have engineers to help you out with Ubuntu, SUSE, CentOS Operation Systems, and so on.
  • Packages, for example, Ceph is an open-source SDS system from RedHat. It’s designed to run on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) hardware. From the user’s viewpoint, you’re not concerned about the hardware — whether it’s cache-enabled hard-drives or RAID SSDs. The software is free, if you need help to setup and install it. We can help.
  • Another example is Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK), which is an excellent solution for both developers and operators to do software logging and/or monitoring. For any auditing, ELK is enough and free. We support and provide training courses for ELK as well.
  • and many many more…

If your company is located in Taipei, Taiwan, we also provide trainings for all these software we support. Welcome to contact our customer service for details, or for your first help request. Please email to: support@log4analytics.zendesk.com. We will get back to you very soon.

Any of your feedback will help us to do thing better.
